Default Wide Glide Fairing

Here I am, shamelessly plundering the knowledge from you fine folks on the forums with another fairing question. I'm getting closer and closer to making a decision on what I'm going to do with my Fat Bob. I appreciate all the feedback regarding options with a 7" light, but today I somehow ended up at the Harley dealership. (I know, I don't know how it happened either.) I started looking at standard 5 3/4" lights and am leaning more and more towards putting that on the Fat Bob in order to accommodate a 1/4 fairing for long rides. I was looking at the Ness fairings and the site said it doesn't bold directly to Wide Glides or Fat Bobs. The Fat Bob I get since it has the dual lights but my question but what about the Wide Glide? If I'm not mistaken the specs on the fork are the same for both bikes so if I get a 5 3/4 on the Bob should I then get the Wide Glide fairing also or will the standard Ness Dyna fairing do? Thanks guys.

The that you'll have is with the mount brackets. The forks are wider on our fat bobs and wide glides than the rest of the dyna line which most fairing are made to fit. You'll probably just need to mod the mount brackets to fit your bike.

Okay thanks. That's what I thought the issue was. There is a Wide Glide Ness Fairing available so when the time comes I'll go with that. Thanks!

Okay thats good to hear. I think I'll go ahead and try it out and keep the Fatboy light around just in case. I'll post some pictures when it's all done, which not be for awhile. Thanks guys.
