Is there any advantage to having tall T bars vs. having ape hangers of the same height?

I used a set of 2" Wild 1 Inc. "Chubby Riser Spacers" to raise 10" T-Bars to 12". They were about $40 and did the job. If a person looked really close, they could tell there was a riser, but it was much better than dropping another several hundred on new bars.

Bung King also sells what they call a "T-Bar lift kit" in 1 and 1.5" sizes for $20. I wanted the full 2" or I would have went with Bung King.

Both come in satin black and chrome, but Bung King also offers a gloss black.

Since no one else has answered, I'll offer my 2 cents. What I like about T bars vs. apes of the same height is the width and the pull back. The apes that I have ridden with were seemed too wide and too close for comfort. My arms were spread and my elbows were bent. With T bars my hands are closer together (27" width) and the pullback puts me in more of a forward leaning position that is more comfortable. For me the choice of bars is a combination of height, pullback and width and each one will impact the overall comfort.
