I've head the Night Dragons were narrower than the Dunlops...is this just where they mount to the rim or over all width?
Hi,

The best option is to download the technical manual of the Tire manufacturer. It mentions in detail about the actual width of the Tyre when put in the rim (Max and Min). As far as the night dragon is concerned its width depends on the rim width.

For Pirelli Night Dragon 180/60 17
4.5" Rim Width = 175mm
5" Rim Width = 180mm
5.5" Rim Width = 186mm

You can see the details at

Has anyone found a Dunlop 180 60 17 for sale other than at a dealership?

I went to the Dunlop website and it even said it's only available from the dealer.

I really want to put a new rear tire on before I go on vacation in a few months but it's $329 just to buy the tire.

What a headache!
