Default Brake Pedal Options

I hate the stock mid control brake pedal. I have adjusted it up and down and just don't find it comfortable. Other than going to forwards what aftermarket brake pedals are others using?

My friend has the same exact bike and I love it, but the brake pedal is no winner. Actually as cool as the bike looks and is, even at 5'10" or so, the seating position is way too cramped for me, as it feels as though my upper legs are angled up...as though the pegs should be lowered 3", which they can't.

For me on that bike it would be forward controls all the way.

I agree, it sucks. There is no after market brake pedals. You can modify the pedal to take an aftermarket by grinding down the pedal and drilling a whole in it. Do a google search and it will pop up.

Heated and bent mine. It hit the exhaust. Worked for me. I have never seen after market brake and gear lever for mids. It would be a good venture for some company, I would think.

Here are the two things I've tried...

1. Paint the mid brake pedal wrinkle black, then polish the ribs for a contrast look (see pic 1).

2. Machine/Grind & Sand the tip to accept a bolt-on pad. (see pics 2 and 3) I had the pedal chromed after it fit nicely with the pad. Idea came from here: http://www.moccsplace.com/images/harley/pedal/pedal.htm

I'm sticking with option 2, the chrome pedal with bolt-on pad.

I made the brake pedal myself and has lots of grip. On your mids all you have to do is machine the size you need to fid any brake pedal you want. The hard way if you have no machines on hand is to youse hand files which can do a great job but takes time.
