If you want a bright tail/stop light. This is the way to go.
Add the HD harness to make your turn signals in to running lights and it really makes you visible.
Was the first thing I did to my bike. Less than $50 and took only about 5 minutes, once you allow for the extra 10 minutes it took me to get the battery cover off because someone probably used white LocTite instead of Blue. Watch out for them critters on the way to work!

Kevin Weeks at Hampton Road HD is the man to talk to for the Bright *** Light taillight. I ordered from him and I LOVE it. I'm actually converting my Dyna's soft tail taillight into the regular taillight so that I can use the BAL on it.

The ones that are sold inside of the Harley dealership on that cool little display are Bright *** Lights. My father in law has Kuryakyn and it's nowhere near as bright as mine. The technology is different. The BALs are the same generation as the LED taillights/third brake lights on modern cars you see on the road. They're also programmable for brightness and pattern, which is convenient as hell. For the $180 through Hampton, it's a solid investment in safety, IMO.

I really like the Custom Dynamic lights I have. With the Wide Glide I didn't have a standard brake light and their run/turn/brake lights were perfect. Really dang bright even in daylight. So I wend with their "angel eyes" style front turn signals/running lights and love them too. Very bright.

In the second picture you can see how much light the rear turn signals give off by looking at the garage door behind the bike. That's just the running lights. The brake lights are brighter still. Definately worth the money. Like you I wanted more visibility at night so I went with their engine light kit too.

Yes, yes, yes, and yes to Kevin Weeks. If he can still do it, I got my BALs for 20% off MSRP. Great guy, great lights. I have the laydown smoked BAL abd I love it.

Absolutely perfect demo, for sure. Nevertheless, I would also go for the running/brake/signal wire for about 50 bucks. It makes a great system even better.
