Driving lights are high on my list but I am concerned w/ overloading the charging system due to the higher power draw of incandescent lamps, while I am also running heated gear. So I'm thinking LED.

thanks Rene, you are the best. My headlight has a visor, but it isn't a trim-ring type. Just a H-D piece of cut-metal, visor-shaped that kinda hooks inside the light shell. Real pita to get back in there, sometimes. Looks nice tho.
I appreciate your help!

Andy,
I understand your concerns. Although I do not use heated gear, up till now I never have had any battery power problems using the passing lights. Have to admit though: once home from a ride I hook up the Deltran Battery Tender.
If you want to find out if the charging system is able to cope the power consumption you could use a multi meter

Thanks, Rene. I'm checked out on a multi meter. But I'm surprised you don't use the heated gear on your Alps jaunts, where changes in elevation might rapidly cause vast temperature changes. EZ as turning a dial.

Thanks Steven for the number. Those are what I had in mind, but until I get the fixtures in-hand I'm just guessing. I appreciate the help, thanks.

Default Another option....

I found this one on Google, their design fits on many Harley bikes including Dyna.
