I was at my local dealer yesterday and inquired about a download while pricing an exhaust and ac. I was told HD doesn't do that anymore and I had to buy a tuner. Is that correct?

 

That's news to me. I had a Stage One download at my dealer just last October. I really am pleased with it, my bike runs great. I think your dealer is just trying to "up sell" you.


I forgot to say...........since I bought my slipons and SE airbox from the dealer and had him install everything, the download was FREE! The whole cost of everything was V&H Twin Slash Slip ons....$325.........SE airbox.........$109.......labor.........$60....... ....download.........

Total for everything...............$512 with tax.


I spent well over $1,400 for my last bike with the Power Commander, and it never ran as good as this one does with the simple download.

 

My HD dealer did mine and my buddies less than 2 weeks ago on our new bikes.

 

it could just be that dealer not offering them anymore. or they just want you to buy a $400 tuner....

 

Bastard dealer. I'm gonna go back and let him know that I know that he was trying to screw me.

@ rubberfrog Do you beleive HD wil kill a major cash cow like that one? They put a peach fuzz kid on a laptop to click the right buttons and vai-o-la 200$$ for HD!

Since I bought my bike and all the parts from him, my dealer did my download for free.
