RE: polishing fork sliders
same here, its on my list to do. I'm sure just a polishing/wax compound would suffice for aftercare. those sliders do take a beating from road grim, etc.mine are toast, was going to install chrome sliders but heard form other threads that they won't work w/kury fork brace.[:@]

RE: polishing fork sliders
You can try doing it yourself and saving a few bucks or have them done by a metal polisher. I bought a set of sliders off of a 2004 Superglide from e-bay recently ($20.00 shipped to my door) and will be sending them out.
You might want to get a price from Mike at http://mikespolishing.com/. Seems pretty reasonable and it is a whole lot cheaper than going chrome. I thought about doing them myself, but if you contact Mike he'll go through his process which is a lot more involved than just polishing the sliders.
