HD LED lamp in Cobra II bucket? (updated with pics, it works!)
Hi,
I believe I have read here about fitting the HD LED lamp (part number: 67700043A) in the classic "Cobra II" headlight bucket?
http://www.accessoriesunlimitedsouth.com/cobra2.htm
Can someone share if they have more information about this? I have the HD LED lamp and I really want a "Cobra II".

I put it in mine, tight fit but works. Drilled out the hole for the wires a little, then spliced the wires (couldn't get the pins out of the stock plug) used the stock rubber boot with some silicone. Huge improvement.....the light is expensive, but the stock light on the Rocker sux IMHO. Now I can actually see where I'm going. Oh, Put some anti-seize on the trim ring so you can get it back off when needed.

Hi,
I have now swapped my headlamp bucket to a Cobra II and fitted the H-D LED lamp in it!
Thanks to help from among others Baeseman1 I also did not cut and splice but dissasembled the connector inside the old housing and fished out the wires. This was very good since I can always go back if I want to.
I thought I had it all figured out but of course you always have to overcome one obstacle. In this case it was that the Cobra II did not have a big enough hole for the wires with the spade connectors. I had to drill a bigger hole, no biggie at all but it had to be that or splice.
Attached is a few pictures of before and after and one of the connector before dissasemble.
