Kuryakyn Hypercharger On A Street Bob
Hey guys two quick questions for anybody who is knowledgable about the Street Bob. I have a 2008 which has the 96" engine. My buddy has an early 2000 model Softail with an 88" engine. He has replaced his Kuryakyn hypercharger with a different breather and is looking to sell it. Anybody know if it will fit my bike?
Second question is I took my triple trees off to have them painted and now I'm putting my front end back together. The service manual says to coat the threads on the steering head nut with antiseize before replacing it. Just wondering why the service manual would have you use antiseize as opposed to locktite for something that is so important to keep torqued down. Any chance this is an error?
Thanks!

You need to post more information. Which model hypercharger is it? Part number? Look it up here https://www.denniskirk.com/search/hypercharger.q. Personally I wouldn't buy it. I've heard nothing but bad news about them, and I know first hand that their chroming process sucks.

Anti-seize
Well, yer gonna torque it 70 to 80 ft-lbs. I'll wager that they have you lube it to prevent galling in the threads. I think that say at 77 ft-lbs initial torque, and checking it again after a bit of riding, you will find that you will not have anything to worry about.
