I think everyone should also state where they are from. Curious because us northerners have a much shorter riding season.

I heard that most harleys had to be rebuilt around 30-40k. Is that true for y'all. Or just Jap propaganda?
I am at 9000 on my 2010 in Texas, but haven't taken a big road trip yet.

Just under 12K on my '11.
At 90somthin' K, I had the cam chain tentioners replaced as a preventive measure....they didn't really need it though. the "outer" had very little wear at all, the "inner" was worn almost half way.

Other than that; engine is "bone stock", but most of my riding (prob 80% or more) is at highway speeds...70-80ish MPH.

The tranny is a completly different story, tht tipical '06 inner primary twice, rebuild once, and then, the "full monty" '07 tranny case, '07 inner primary case, new bearings bushings and seals, an '07 stator assy. All on the MoCo's dime! "more better" now!

Best wishes....Tim(HT)

And buy the way, That rebuild at 50K Mi. is B.S. I,m adding less than 3 Oz. of oil between changes at 5K interval.
