What is the bar gonna be used for? I'm on the market for a quick release but only because the wife enjoys riding with me. If you don't need one for a chick or for gear then I wouldn't waste the money on it.
I got a medium low with luggage rack in the classifieds

Agreed. I think that one looks good too. And you have the option of strapping a bag to it.

I put mine on just to haul my gear but ended up liking the looks. Put one on as you can always remove it if it doesn't work for you. I must say they are pretty handy to have.

I like the looks of the stock WG, but this HD one seems more useful.... Plus it's quick detach if I don't like it. Does everyone like the detachable HD stuff?

so I had to modify that pad that they sell for that sissy bar. its too low for my wife. SO, i took it apart, took out the foam, cut it in half to make it half as thick, then slide it over the top when she needs to ride. i love it, she does to. I also use it to tie down my duffel bag, i loop my shoulder strap through it.

the other issue is that if you want it quick release, i had to get the tail light relocation kit... extra moneys. you could get rid of that tail light, and get the LED strip under the fender. looks great.

I love the quick detach too...BUT, it rattles a little when you don't have any weight against it. thats why i take it off when i dont have cargo or wife.

LED below
