Anyone know if it is possible to install the 05 control kit on an 06 FXDC? The 06 kit comes with cover gaskets but I don't want to go in to the primary if I don't have to. The price of the 05 is also cheaper.

Yes you can, i have the 05 kit on mine. If you search the Dyna section yo uwill find a lot of details i and others posted

If works fine, but If i had it to do over i would buy ht e 06 kit.

 

I ahve a '04 FXD that I had forward controls on and changed to my '06 FXDCI just had to buy the shifter rod that is made for that year.

As stated, they do work. I ended up going with the 06 version just in case the primary ever needs to come off.
