Default Lifted dyna

Anyone run taller than 13 1/2" shocks on a 06 or newer dyna? How about longer fork tubes on the 49mm front end? Tired of scraping my pipes and pegs, even the primary every now and then.

Wait till you ride a softail or touring with floorboards, you know what is scraping lol. Dyna has plenty of ground clearance, are you riding 2-up by any chance?

I have an '08 Fat Bob with mids and everything not absolutely needed unbolted and thrown on the junk pile.
In the back I'm running 13-3/4" shocks with raised spring rate and preload.
In the front I have intiminators with one spring washer removed from the stack to address the over eager slow speed compression damping, more preload, and the oil level set at 4.500". Installing a True Track kit mostly tamed the hinge-in-the-middle chassis.
V+H pro pipe helped clearance a little.
Now the cornering clearance is poor, instead of miserable, but the handling (clearance aside) is much improved. It's almost like a regular motorcycle that looks like a Harley. Almost. Now if I could just put it on a 300 pound diet so the limited engine power would better match the weight.......I might have something.

Music to my ears.....raising a Dyna to extract a little more capability so it can act more like a regular motorcycle

I've ground down both sides of my WG. gonna go 2" over in front and 1" in the rear. tired of buying mufflers and foot pegs. rode my kids night train and damn near bit the cookie on the first turn.

some guys? just a few of them Lol... to each their own. 12.5 shocks set with 1" of sag for 2 up riding and still drag when riding solo. the sacrifice of riding a hd. a motorcycle wouldn't be any fun without corners

I grounded it all the time, then put 440's on rear, raised. Works kit in forks, True Track. Still hit 2-1 exhaust on tight corners but is a world of difference. Don't think I can raise it any more.
Open to suggestions though.
