I would guess the same reason I have highway pegs. Nice to have two places to put your feet when riding for long hauls.

I think black chrome would look great on the exhaust. Found a thread here, on dupli-color's new Shadow paint. Poster wrote to the company about using the product on exhaust systems and below the link is their reply....tp dd50
