Guys i have Big problems. I recently posted some video of my bike starting and thought I might have a battery issue. Today, I just got done polishing And cleaning my bike. i tried turning over and it won't start. just clicks. I barley have any lights (I took some video which I will post shortly)
My question is can I try and jump my bike off of a 12 volt battery that i have in my garage?

Thanks

Dave

You can jump it if needed but I wouldn't jump it to ride anywhere without bringing jumper cables along..my battery didn't last two years.

Dead battery for sure. The click is the tell tale sign.

Ok sounds like everyone has the same idea so I wont post the video lol. It is a rapid clicking sound when I hit start. I hooked it up to my spare 12 volt but its dead to lol. When I turned it over while hooked up the clicking almost went away but not enough juice to get her going.

Question... (I will take the bike battery in to get it tested) but Iv'e had it on a tender and the tender isn't blinking (charging indicator) solid light is supposed to mean fully charged battery. Any reason this would happen??

Who makes a good battery? How much is a fare price to pay, before I check with the dealer. I like optima have em in my cars. do they make em for bikes too?
Need to replace mine too!
I do a lot of starting and stopping picking up stuff around town. Made 8 stops the other day and got a check engine and battery check light riding home. Went out to start the bike the next day and it was dead.
Battery is only two years old and kept on a tender! Are the batteries that come from Harley really that crappy?

It sure sounds like the battery. Throw a charger on it, after checking the fluid level in the cells. and see if it takes a charge. If no better, replace it. I've heard of Harley batteries living up to 5 years, but your locale may be harder on battery life.

Battery maybe screwed up causing the tender to think its fully charged. Get new battery & hook it up to tender & see if it shows charging.

I would have the battery tested and while you have it out clean the connectors, take both the battery cables out and clean both sides and tighten down. If you do have to buy a new one make sure it's fully charged before installing....good luck
