Do you think a skinny sheet metal fender makes a difference?

i was just asking. some people on here seem to swear by them. i dont see how they would be totally irrelevant.

I have run them on different bikes, I have yet to feel a real difference, even on my 41 mm forks that are 4+" longer than those on the FatBob.
I currently run one, but it is strictly for looks and it made zero difference in handling.

On a Sporty with 39 mm forks it might be worthwhile or if you had longer forks, but I do not think they make as much of a difference as some people think they do.

ill admit it made quite a difference to my front end, im running the superbrace...
ive seen it make a difference....a buddy and i were riding side by side on a sweeping turn that merged one freeway into another. we were riding about 80 i saw his front end shimmy left to right while mine was steady as a rock...same road, same pavement, same speed, same suspension at the time. it does make a difference....not everyone will "feel" it tho....

It sure dose not hurt to have one.
Speed woble can be caused by a few things....
Tires for one.
Balancing.
Worn mounts.

Yep too many variables on the bike to say his needed a brace and yours OK...

I have one, but really not sure it makes much of a difference and I have a 39mm FXDX...

However, I would have one just in case

Another choice is:
www.crossroadsperformance.com

Its the one I have.

I had one on my 91 Sturgis, I could tell in the corners but that's all....
