I went through the same process as the OP when I bought my 12 WG. Having my new Ricors put on this week before I take delivery. The fact that I could get them in 13.5" was a big factor since I also wanted to raise the bike a bit.

With the discounts offered by howard at motorcycle metal comes down to 745$. Now in my opinion why save 150$ for knock offs?

I have the Ricors, sport-tune in 13.5". They are much better than stock, but I wish I had control over dampening...

is that $745 for the Ohlins piggyback?
970's on ebay can be had for $700 shipped. They are a piggyback, high pressure gas shock with **** adjustable compression dampening. They are very easy to setup yourself

No, I agree with you. Guess I should have called Howard. I just looked at the site and they looked about $900 and up. Hope I like the Ricors.
