Progressive 440's. Infinate adjustments and they look and ride much better than stock.

Another before/after pic for those considering 11inch Progressive 412s. Just put mine on:

You can definitely feel the difference way more than you can see the difference.

Whiff,your bike looks great.

I'm sure you already know this, but based on the amount of the lower part of theshock showing,it looks like you've got your shocks set on the stiffest setting. You'd probably lower the bike another half inch on the lightest setting.

Good Luck

I get [admittedly] retarded when it comes to shock logic, but, if I want it even lower should I have more or less of that black lower part of the shock showing?

I had the same question when I put mine on, I ended up turning them all the way one way, sitting on the bike and bouncing on it, then turning them the other way and bouncing on them again. I'm sure I looked like a total idiot, but it was easy to figure out that way. Just make sure no one else is around.

You want less showing, the stiffer setting puts more preload on the springs and raises the bike a bit.

Good Luck

Man .... you guys sure are tempting me to get some new shocks. The only thing really holding me back is I want 11.5" with chrome tops and black springs...... which means 418's at much higher $$$. May have to pull the trigger on some soon though.

I have Öhlins shocks on my Bob. The difference between the originals and theseis huge! Bike handles much better and carries load better. Shocks are for the FXDX Dyna, but with a few spacers they fitted to Bob also. Length is about the same as are the original shocks.
