The Plasti-Dip Thread
#562
I have been using Plasti-Dip on my rims and this stuff is great.
Here is a picture of my 2015 Roadglide Special with my rims dipped.
I have done my rims, pullie & horn cover so far and I get comps all the time.
For my rims I always use one can of the dip & one can of the glossifier.
When it comes time to peel and re-do, it peels right off.

It holds up really well if you give it 4 coats or so and let it dry good. I did my wheels, lowers, trees, bars and mirrors. These are new bars just put on but my old bars were dipped and held up fine. Lowers too. No issues at all. You can touch it up too it will self level and blend right in. I usually just use a little wd40 on a rag to clean it. You can wash it but it looks cleaner done this way, I think anyways.

How are you guys getting It so smooth with rattle can? Below are pics of my first round and they are good from but far from good. The first time I cleaned it off with 3m prep spray and got tiny bubbles. I thought it was overspray but I peeled and re-painted them today and same results and I cleaned the parts off with rubbing alcohol. I have a HVLP paint sprayer I may try next. But you guys seem to be doing great with the rattle can. So far the appliance has been more forgiving. Thank!
