Thanks for all the replies... Great stuff.

It was just to give me an idea what my engine revs are at certain speeds if I was cruising at a steady mph.

mostly flat without a passenger. varies a little between uphill and downhill. but not by much.

2012 FXDC..
6th @ 70mph = 2,600rpm
5th @ 60mph = 2,600rpm
4th @ 50mph = 2,600rpm

aside from a different load on the engine why do you think it matters? its all about gear ratio and rpm (engine speed)

Gear Ratios (overall) for 2011 Street Bob are as follow:
- 1st 9.311
- 2nd 6.454
- 3rd 4.793
- 4th 3.882
- 5th 3.307
- 6th 2.79

... so, final drive in 6th is 2.79 ... you can use the Andrews table to see what your RPM at speed is ...

... or you could do a spreadsheet like I did filling in your own data ...



When I installed a BDL belt drive it changed the primary drive ratio so I re-did my table ...



[of course, my tables use the specific primary and final drive ratios for my '05 FXDI]
