Do either Lakeshore or Horny Toad have online ordering? I didn't see any on their websites...

Lakeshore H-D has an ecommerce site - www.lshd1.com

Horny Toad does not. However, they have customer service beyond belief. They have a huge inventory, and they ship from their store inventory. Places like Surdyke and Lakeshore do not mix their store inventory. When you place an order with them they turn around and order from Milwaukee, which adds time. Horny Toad has an awesome discount and Jon the parts manager is super responsive and they get the stuff shipped right away with very reasonable shipping prices.

The problem is, they won't let me return them without a 25% restocking fee. I explained to the guy that I would be ordering the correct parts from someone, but it would not be them if I had to be charged this fee. Prices aside, that's sh*tty business. I guess he didn't realize that one restocking fee isn't worth losing a customer for life. It looks like Lake Shore will be getting my business when I order the right ones.

**update**
Nevermind...Bill from New Castle HD called me back and we worked it out.
First of all the majority of businesses charge a restocking fee and I think that there's nothing wrong with that practice as explained at length in previous posts so that's not sh**tty business. You got the wrong part # and you ordered it without first double checking,I think this is sh**tty behavior and you should be complaining with the sh**tty person who gave you the wrong part #.Now I'm glad to see that Bill is now working there as well,he's always been extra helpful and helped me get my brand new fogging LED headlights replaced when he was with Zanotti's.

I don't recall asking for your opinion of my behavior, or what you "think" about any of this matter, but 25% is a ridiculous restocking fee for an unopened, unused part. I THINK this is sh*tty business any way you slice it. If you're willing to pay an outrageous fee like that, that's your stupidity.

As I stated already, Bill called me back and we worked the situation out. He was very helpful in doing so.

If you post here expect comments from other members,I didn't resort to any name calling and for your info I READ the terms before I buy and if I don't like them I move on and never had to return anything I bought because of my incompetence.Who's the stupid one here?

OK, I'm not going to get involved in a flame war here. We're not 15 year old keyboard warriors, posting comments on you tube or something.

Bottom line here is that New Castle HD has excellent customer service and great prices. I do highly recommend shopping there. I apologize for jumping the gun with my initial negative review of them, and for any hostility I may have shown here. Sorry if I offended you Luisan. I'm actually a pretty nice guy, once you get to know me . Ride safe!
