Post Aftermarket brake master cylinder

I'm getting ready to do the handlebar clean up mod - getting rid of switches, internal throttle, etc. and I'm having a hard time deciding on an aftermarket hydraulic brake master cylinder. I think I've narrowed down to 3 choices:
  1. Joker Machine JX series (black)
  2. PM Black ano
  3. Joker Machine J-Tec, finned, black
  • My bike is a 2008 FXDF FatBob, so I'm kinda thinking choice #1 would work because it goes with the 'fat, round' theme of the bike.
  • I think #2 would work because it's relatively sleek, low profile - and I am going for a clean look.
  • #3 I think is a little more traditional, but still fairly subtle.

Anybody have any experience with the above? Any additional thoughts, recommendations? Other brands I should be considering?

Except for the brake M/C, I've got most of the part lined up. Looking forward to getting started on this

Cheers,
Jack

I can say I am very happy with my PM controls. Very clean and low profile.

I have a few questions if you don't mind...
Did you consider any other option or were you set on the PM controls from the begin?
How's the lever actuation - any difference?
Did you use the stock cables or swap them out for different ones?
Any issues hooking up your mini switches/buttons? Any tips/tricks?
Got some close pics you can share/PM?

The bike looks good in your sig picture.

Thanks

I had a different aftermarket set ( no name set off ebay) before the PM, hated them so I bought the PM's which I had wanted but didn't want to spend the cash, as I have discovered, better to save and buy what you really want instead of settling.

Lever action is very good, can't really say whether there is a big difference but they feel good.

Yes you can use the stock cables, nothing special required there.

Getting all the switches back into the PM housing is a bit tedious the first time, but once you have done it they are a piece of cake, have had mine off a few times for bar swaps. Trickiest part is matching color code as the PM switches are not color coded like stock, I made a graphic showing the combinations...I like pictures...lol

You can see several pics on my site here:

Let me know if you have any other questions, happy to help.

Oh, I also built in a set of turn signals on the PM controls, you can see them in the pics if you look close.

Was going to go with the Joker Machine JX series but they don't have any with the brake switch available in stock - and won't until May sometime. So I'm going with choice #2 - PM controls - Black ano version.

Got pretty much all the parts I need - except for the grips (because I'm doing internal throttle, I need 2 left hand grips...)

Hopefully can start wrenching this weekend

Need to remember to take some before and after pictures...
