Funny, I don't hear too many guys fake having a Dyna. Seems like they're always bragging about their softail, but don't know what kind it is when I ask. I have also talked to a few guys that actually owned bikes and didn't know what they had. I've been corrected when complementing their "Dyna", telling me it's a Super Glide. This guy probably just didn't know what that was sitting in the corner of the garage.
I have ppl call my Dyna a Fatboy number of times, when ppl see a Harley, they seem to think Softail. When guys told me that they used to own a Harley and I asked what it is, they are hesitate to answer, sometimes they just say "an old Harley"
Before I got into Harley, I had a friend that I liked to torment about
"his" Sportster. It actually was a '78 Low Rider.
I'd tell someone to go ask Terry if he rode "his Sportster" over the
weekend? He (Terry) would always come back to me and cuss me out
saying, "it ain't no Sportster, its a LOW RIDER!!!
Used to work with a guy that had an old Harley but we never saw it. One of the guys always teased him about his Honda Rebel and how he was embarrassed to ride it in. Well he finally got the tins back, assembled it and rode it in one day. It's a 64 Pan in a 53 frame, poked and stroked to 96 inches with Shovel heads and kick only.
The painter didn't close up the tanks so they got a bunch of **** in them that plugged the screen and on his way home it kept dying on him due to fuel starvation and it kicked back, messed up his knee and ankle. There he was on the freeway unable to kick it over when his least favorite co-worked came and saved the day. The rebel thing was no longer funny in Mike's eyes, matter of fact it would probably get you shot still if you brought it up! He about got me with a wrench when I was rubbing my thumb telling him how bad it hurt when my Road King kicked back on me.
HAHA, thats some funny ****! I've heard dayna before... depends on accent i think but... Dyno? should have asked him how much he charges for a tune session lol
