Default Chopped vs. Full fender

Need some opinions. As some may remember, I had a full Dyna fender that was completely shaved. The paint on the fender got damaged when my bike was shipped to England so I bought the HD chopped fender instead of fixing the full fender. Now the paint on the chopped fender is starting to bubble around the seat nut hole and rust is starting to form. It got me thinking about which fender to repair. So what do you guys think, chopped or full fender?

I normally love chopped fenders...love the one on my FXDWG...but for your bike I feel the full looks a lot better.

Wow, not much love for the chopped fender! I'm gonna take the shaved full fender I have to the body shop today to get a quote to fix it up. The paint cracked around the filler panel for the tail light hole and there is a seperate chip in the paint down to bare metal. As long as they can repair and repaint it for the same price that they said they would fix my chopped fender I'll go with the full fender.

I have the same full fender you have, but with a side mount plate with brake light. The rear lights you have are they from a sportster? If so do they fit straight on to a 09 FXDL dyna?

Anyway I like the look of your bike, nice.

Chopped fenders don't look right unless you also chop the struts and mount the fender to the swing arm.

Yeah full for sure!

I know you're going for a shaved look but I really like the tank badges better on your bike too. Not much of a fan of blacked out bikes anymore but yours looks really nice. I like how the red breaks it up.
