Default Rear fender options for Street Bob

I'm sure this has been addressed, but I'm new to the Dyna forum (normally on the Touring forum) and I am planning to buy a '12 Street Bob in the next two months. It will be a second, lightweight, "barhopper" type bike for me to play with and help keep the miles down on my Street Glide.I love the look of the Street Bob but I hate that dorky tailight! I see where Harley offers a Nightster style fender kit with side mount license plate but are there any other options? Any info or pics greatly appreciated!

Depends on what you want to do. Harley offers the chopped fender kit, similar to the stock wide glide fender. Rocket bobs offers the voodoo fender, but that's only if you want to chop the fender struts and do some serious work to your bike.

Hey Hickster, Ric at Southeast Custom Cycles does some great work on Dyna's. I just had him lower and fill an 07 Street Bob fender. It came out great. I have the bobbed fender from Harley that I took off. It has no tail light. If you think you might be interested in it let me know. First I would go to Ric's site and look at his bikes...there's bobbed fenders, long fenders and in between. Rocket Bob's site has some great stuff too. He just came out with a hugger style for the Dyna. Good luck, you will LOVE the Street Bob.

I had the holes in mine welded up. I'm changing it out to a longer FXD fender now with the same treatment. If its just the tail light you don't like you can have the holes welded and the fender repainted for around $250 or you could buy mine for $125!
