I had a Memphis Shades Demon after going from a MRA Vario which was handlebar mounted (dramatic pause for snotty comments about ricer screens) and now I have a HD 27" quick detach that I just cut down to about 20". My opinion is the screen is best when it doesn't block your view forward, but it keeps the wind gusts from giving you that pushed back feeling which makes your arms tired a lot quicker. Form vs function. If it does a good job of blocking the wind and making your ride more comfortable its probably not going to be a sleek little screen. I live where 60-70mph wind gusts are frequent so not suddenly feeling like something is trying to knock me off my bike is nice.

I run the HD quick release compact. Im 5'10 and when raise it until lower clamp is about 1 1/4" off lower tree it works great, no wind buffeting on helmet or chest. I bought it to use in cold weather but about the only time I take it off anymore is to clean the bike. Riding with the sundowner seat, windshield and 970 shocks its all day comfort
