Default Saddleman Drifter Express Tail Bag?

I'm thinking about getting a Saddlemen Drifter Express Tail bag, #507439 for my FXDF when I travel. Anyone have any experience with this bag?

I dunno about that bag but I have a beat up pair of saddleman throw-overs and I must say they are made very well. They make a good product!

That's a nice option for traveling with a Street Bob. Did you put it on top of your pillion pad or did you put anything else down to protect the fender from scratches.

Fits better on top of the pillion pad. I put a towel under it too to protect the fender.

I have been looking at that bag too. Is it water tight or does it come with a rain cover?

no rain cover and I havent used it in the rain yet. when its closed the top does overlap the bottom by about 2" but its not tightly sealed. Ive put about 7K miles with it on the bike and im very happy with it. Its easy on and easy off and made with some nice thick material
