Wife just recently picked up a 08 FXDL with 20k the on the clock..
Question is, the throttle spring tension is very weak. It is almost effortless to twist the throttle. So riding down the road she hits any bump it effects throttle.
Can the spring on the throttle body be replaced??
You're trying to change the bike to make up for an operator malfunction. There is nothing wrong w/ the throttle spring. Adjust bars and rider position so her arms don't flap up and down when she hits a bump.

As I said. The spring is WEAK. Has nothing to do with the rider.
If it were to take 5 lbs of pressure to rotate the throttle, this bike only take one pound compared to what my superglide was.
On the EFI Harleys the beginning progression of the throttle opening is pretty aggressive and takes a while to get use to. I'm surprised it could be programmed or the cable wheel re-shaped to make it behave like the carbed bikes.
