I have a Biker's Friend (Large) for my FXDC and love it!! It can double as a backrest and is extremely comfortable!!

I have a T-bags Baja, slips right over your backrest and sits on the luggage rack or the passenger seat with two straps to secure it although they aren't really necessary unless you as going offroad. Not so cheap but a nice bag.

I'm using the ctb 500 mini tourer from Nelson Rigg. It's a great size and comes with a roll that snaps on top if you need it or comes with straps to hang it somewhere else on the bike, also comes with rain covers. I think I paid $180 last year for it. You can fit a couple days worth of stuff in it.
