To push the piston in you apply pressure on the pad itself. Change the inboard ones first by pulling the pin only far enough to get the inboard pad out. Once you replace the inboard pad insert the pin and apply the brake. This will hold the new inboard pad in place. Now push the outboard pistons in and remove the pins all the way. This will allow you to replace the outboard pads while holding the inboard pads in place.
