I'm looking to change out the stock mini apes on my 08 SB. I'm really liking the look of V-Factor Highnoon 12's https://www.denniskirk.com/v-factor/...prd/597442.sku
Does anyone have these? Dennis Kirk online says it might fit with my 08 SB; does anyone know if they'll work? And if so, will the stock wiring work or do I need longer wiring/cables? Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

 

as long as the bars one inch at the clamp you will be fine you should be able to use stock cables with 12's no problem

I just came back from my HD dealership, they were saying I would need new cables and wiring for a total of $350. Do the stock cables not have any slack or are they just squeezing more money out of me? I went to another mechanic and he was charging basically the same thing for a cable kit. The cables and wiring are double the cost of the bars themselves, plus labor of close to a grand. There has got to be a cheaper way to do this right??

 

My SB is an '08 also, my bars are 16's. there was enough wiring in the neck to do 21's probably but my cables were too short. There are numerous threads on here about stock cables working with 14's so I'm positive your stock suff will work with the 12" bars you linked to.

 

You can fit 12" bars no problem
