Default New Pipes Installed

Today I installed My VH shortshots and PCV, wow what a difference, I love it. Everything went on smooth. I couldn't wait for my damaged heat shield and baffle to be shipped back out to me, so I just installed the original baffles that it came with and ran it without the heat shields. I have a couple questions. I ordered the quiet baffles just because I read it on here how much better they sound, will they get rid of the crackling when I decelerate? I kinda like that with the originals. Also, the pipes have some discoloring around the ports, is that normal? I know the shields will cover that up, just making sure its normal.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Kev its normal for the dis coloring they get pretty hot.A tuner is my next investment still not sure which route I'm going to go, leaning towards the Thundermax Auto Tune.Let us know what you think of the quiet baffles. We will have to get together and do a ride soon, I give you a call.

You're running this set-up with no fuel management system?

Did you run the stock ones to compare the quiet ones to?

No I didn't run the stock Vance and Hines baffles on my bike. I have listened to the stock baffles on another bike and like the sound from the quiet baffles much better.

My baffles and heat shield should be here tomorrow or Thursday. I'll swap them out see. The set screws are in a bad spot too. Bad design.
