Has anyone tried the new hard battery bag option that BAD&G offers? I know he has upgraded the standard battery bag leather quality but wondering if it would be best to go with the hard bag option?

Found this Heritage fender pouch on e-Bay for $39. Used a heat gun to soften the plastic back and hammered it flat. Drilled four holes in the battery cover and sealed them with some clear caulk.

I ordered the battery bag with double buckle yesterday. Does anyone know if an ez-pass tag would register from inside the bag?

I asked that very question of our TxTag people. Yes, it will was the answer. It hasn't yet.
The plate reader works.

Yes. I have one on my 13 sb. You just have to mark holes and drill the battery cover. Just make sure u line it up correctly or it will look crooked and stupid. The other thing u could do is buy one of the older battery covers with the trim ring.

Got my battery bag today. Question, how do I remove the chrome trim piece from my battery cover? Is it held on with double sided tape? Strangely I thought it would just pop off but after pulling with w good amount of force I stopped for fear of breaking or bending something.

If it's like mine, you take the battery cover off of the bike and push in on the tabs that are on the backside of the cover. The trim piece pops right off.

My '03 trim was glued on. Razor blade solved it.
