I use this on my Low Rider. It is not a true cruise control in so much as it just holds the throttle in a fixed position, so if you go up hill you have to adjust it slightly. I wanted to be able to take my right hand of the bars and move it about to relieve the aches and for that it's absolutely perfect. Got one for my BMW R1200GS as well. Dead cheap and takes less than 30secs to fit. Also it's very safe when you need to shut off the throttle.

I guess you can't use the HD kit for the older baggers with throttle cables? AFAIK it's the same ECM setup...

I've got the same one and it does work. Unfortunately on my setup the mirror interferes with the throttle lock. If anyone is interested in it, send me a PM with your address and I'll drop it in the mail.

I had the same initial problem w/ the mirror. I simply rotated the stem forward 'til there was clearance.
