Fat vs. Street
#11
I love my street bob but I like the handling of the fat bob better. The dual disks and fatter tire help the handling characteristics and the twin front headlight is cool.
I put a fat bob headlight on my street bob but the triple tree is to narrow to get the beam high enough to be proper. I now have to make a thing to push the light an inch forward.
The street bob is very nice to ride. I put a 4" riser on and my back pain disappeared. In the end you gotta like what your riding. Neither is a bad choice

I ride a Fat Bob. Handles well. Never rode a Street Bob. Two different looks going on - one is a bit more swept, the other a bit more muscly. Tough call. Personally I've always preferred the look of the Wide Glide - I love a bike with long forks.
You gonna make it custom? SB vs FB is a tough call, maybe if you already intend to customise then that could help your decision. What look would you go for? If you're gonna swap bars over SB suits a nice set of apes while the FB looks mean with a T-bar or drag bar.
Hmmm tough call. I do agree with comment re FB rear fender. It's ugly.
