Default windshield bag

I just bought a windshield bag and went to put it on yesterday and the screw is not long enough!

Is this a common problem? If so, why didn't they send a longer one with the bag? Do I need to go to my local HD shop to get a screw?

I would like all the screws on the windshield to match.

Thanks!

Just go to dealership or any Indy shop with the bolt and they can match it with a longer one. If they included a longer bolt with the bag it would probably just be a generic bolt as they would not know which windshield you have

Also when I bought my windshield used it was missing the center bolt as the previous owner must of had a bag that he did not include. Went to HD and I just bought another one.....

Thanks. I'll head up there and get one.
I'll post a pic after I mount it.

OK, got a longer bolt from the HD Dealer.

Here's a pic of it.

Looks good....I really need to pick one up as well. A little extra storage is always a good thing, especially when it is easy to install....Good luck and enjoy!!!

You didn't need a longer bolt. The stock one would have pulled the bag tight to the windshield. You just needed to push it in a little.
