Here's a small shield on my Springer Low Rider that I use for short trips. 200 to 300 miles a day. As you can see I gravitate toward the tombstone style, but thats just a personal preference.

What brand is that?

This is a side view of my '03 Low Rider with the Harley Quick Detach Windshield on it. I'm 6' even and it's actually a bit tall for me, so I may cut an inch or two from it. There's a thread on this forum somewhere that goes into detail about how to cut down a windshield. I did that on my Heritage which you can see in the background and it turned out absolutely perfect.

nj wideglide 11

Did you need any special parts for this? I looked them up and it doesn't show FXDWG on the fits. Also can you give me the part number for that windshield?

I have the mini police as well. I'm 6'3", so you don't have to have a giant one. It has to do more with the angle of the shield. If you have it tilted back to match the plane of the forks, you get some buffeting on the head. When you tilt it forward more so it is more vertical, you get very little. It is very tolerable even at 85+. At first I gated it until I got some suggestions on here to play with the angle of it. You also will get some buffeting under the forks. There is a thread on here somewhere that shows how you can modify an air deflector from a FL to stop that. Someone said as your riding hold your arm bent straight across your chest. I'd you feel a relief of buffeting on your head, than this is where it is coming from. I tried it with my shield on and sure enough that was where the remaining buffeting is coming from. Like I said its only minor though. Other guys have stopped it by mounting a fork bag on the lower tree clamp.

Can anyone confirm this isn't the 19" super sport windshield? I believe it is the 16" super sport windshield part number57331-07. I really like the look of this windshield and would like to get it for my 11 wide-glide just want to make sure I am ordering the right one.

Default how to measure your windshield

just measure from the lip by the light to the top of the windshield. thats how you determine the height of a windshield.
