Default fork slider dust cover

had my lowers powdered black got everything together except chrome covers tried the occ method and tweaked the hell out of em figured i need to file or sand the powdercoat off so they snap on easier any advice would be greatly appreciated since i got new covers and dont want to buy another set thanks

no need to sand... just slide a piece of PVC over it it and pop it with a rubber mallet

Yep 2" schedule 40 pvc works great, you really gotta smack them but they will go on.

chances are they were bent already, mine popped right off with no trouble - went to reinstall them and both where touching the tubes. To fix that, once installed a small flat blade screwdriver will give the needed clearance so nothing touches.
