Check the date on the battery and make sure it's not an old one that has been sitting on the shelf a while. There is a letter and a number on a sticker on the side of the battery with a cutout on the box so you can see it. The letter represents the month (A-M , they don't use the letter i) and the one digit number is the year.
Mine was a M1 so it was made in December 2011.

Dumb question, I wanted to see if this battery was the same P/N for a 06 street glide but adavnce only list cars, and the battery site doesn't list motorcycles. how do I check for the right P/N? I need to order one ASAP.

I went to Advance and measured their battery

height and width look good.

front to back is 4". seems like my compartment is only 3 3/4" deep.

so - no problem??
