Default Cost to install bars and pipes.

Hello folks,

I bought a set of wild 1 street fighter bars and a set of VH big radius 2-2 pipes. The bars are currently externally wired new ones will be internal.

What would be a fair price to install pipes, re-jet and install bars at a local Indy.

I don't think I will need any wire extensions.

My bike is a 1997 Dyna Super Glide.

Thanks, Mark

Thumbs up

FREE

Install them yourself and save your money towards the re-jetting. Trust me, it's really not that hard.

That was my original intention however my time is limited in the winter and also was not looking forward to splicing all the handlebar wires.

It's a lot , I think the dealer will charge about 400 for the bars. I did my own for the first time and it was pretty easy. Saved some coin

Damn, 800+ for that ****. Keep you money and do it yourself bro. It really isn't that bad.

What I did, before I disconnected the wire harnesses on each side was to write down on a note pad what each wire color was on each side of the harness. This way, you will not mix up any of the connections.

You can then choose multiple ways to wire it back up. The manual shows you how to take each wire out of the molex connectors. For me, I just cut the connectors out completely and used Posi-Locks WeatherTite connectors to splice back together. Easy, as long as you wrote down what each wire connection is first.

You can do it, for FREEEEEEE! Just remember the SE gaskets for the exhaust, havent done the handlebars, but they shouldn't be bad, just ask for advice on how to feed the wires so you don't get fustrated.
