Default ACRs on an '06 Wide Glide

I am having a difficult time trying to get my Automatic Compression Releases wired up properly on my '06 Wide Glide. I have installed the new 120 motor and the paperwork that came with the ACRs says to install one of the wires from the ACR overlay harness into cavity 15 of the ECM harness connector after having removed a plug from that cavity (i.e. the cavity is unused). Unfortunately, the directions are for '07s and beyond because on '06s pin 15 is being used by a "digital ground" connection. The techs at the local harley shop have told me to attach the wire to the start relay. I currently have it hooked up to the green wire which runs directly to the starter solenoid connection on the starter motor. My other options would be to attach it one of three other wires. 1) the Red/Black which runs to the Ignition switch (not logical because then the ACRs would be powered any time the switch is on), 2) the Tan/Green wire which runs to the Start Relay Control in the TSSM (again, not logical in my estimation) or 3) Black/Red wire which runs to the Start switch on the Right hand controls (logical because it would power the ACRs whenever you were trying to start the bike). So, I have two questions ... Can the ECM be reflashed to realize that another device (i.e. ACRs) has been added to the ECM harness (assuming I put the pin into an unused cavity such as cavity 1)? If the ECM can't be reflashed, then would it be smarter to attach the pin to the Start switch wire vice the starter solenoid connection? Currently, I am getting a "check engine" light after I start the bike and the bike doesn't want to idle properly. However, I am getting good back pressure from both cylinders in the current configuration. The bike has had the ECM programmed for the new engine and has been dyno'd. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
