slip on mufflers
so i took my thunderheader off today as its just too loud and wakes up my 3 week old newborn every time i start it up. so i put the stock exhaust back on for now and put the thunderheader up for sale but im looking for opinions on some slip on mufflers that are louder than stock but not as loud as the thunderheader. my buddy has cycle shacks and they sound like a high pitch tin can. i was lookin at the LA choppers true power slip ons but i think they might be louder than my thunderheader but i dont know if i can quiet them down with more packing. i really like the looks of them. what are some of your opinions?

good to know they are quieter than the short shots, so far im really torn between these two.
LA choppers true power slip ons which i really like the looks the best, just cant find any sound clips on a dyna.
or the vance and hines straight shot slip ons which sound great and look great on the you tube clips ive seen

I think the sound of exhausts are just to subjective to give advice on. Only way is to hang out somewhere with a load of bikes and see which sound OK to you. I haven't heard anything by V&H that I'd want around a baby, including their slip-ons.
Only pipes that I'd consider performance upgrades and that sound OK and not disturbingly loud are the SE and Remus sllip-ons.

I'm running Rush slash cut slip-ons with the 1.75 baffle on my 2010 FXDC. Great sound. Check their sound bytes.
