Brand new bike exhaust and ac ok?

i was talking to a dyno guy today about putting on pipes, a/c before the first 1K miles. he said the only down side to doing it early is if you do need dyno time to tune it, the rpm's they have to turn on the bike might be a bad idea on an engine that's not properly broken in, and if you decide not to tune it, the lean condition could be detrimental to the motor. personally i haven't touched mine yet other than new bars.

Don't need a dyno tune, you can download a map that will get you close enough. The overwhelming majority of people will be perfectly happy with one of those maps. I ran one of those maps for quite a while before getting a custom tune. If I hadn't got it for free then I never would have gotten the custom tune.

Is the bike registered here on post yet? I don't know if you have to go through inspection because it is a new bike, but if you do have to go through inspection, WAIT!!! There is no way you'll pass inspection with your new exhaust because they do a decible reading. I only added some slip-ons and didn't pass. I then had to add some quiet baffles to get just under the decible limit. Most guys just throw on their stock, go through inspection and then put the real deal back on. Hope that helps you make your decision.
