so looking at ebay and finding 16x5 touring rear rims. what would i need to make it work. or could i bolt it right up?

and what is the big dish looking thing on one side of the wheel in picture 2. attached to the center of the wheel?

 

I actually did this. The big dish looking thing is damper assembly that came out 1/2 way through 2007. You cannot use the hub. You can relace your hub to it. I took about three threads off each 17" Dyna spoke to slightly shorten them to fit the 16 inch rim. I used it all last year with no problems and it maintained it's true just fine. I do run the 180 WWW Touring tire.

 

Well the rim in the link is a cast wheel so im wondering about that but if it doesnt work then I will get a laced one cheap deals on the street glide cast rims now

 

I also have seen some one on here with these rims front and back so wondering how hard the rear rim was to fit

Also on the laced rim what rim did you use from what bike

 

TTT for a great job on a laced rim and many questions still for a mag rim

 

If you want cast, you may have to find something in the Fat Boy area. My rear rim was from a 2010 Road King.
