Heres my version of a Sport touring road carving dyna....
I guess you can call it a FXDCT.
A work in progress just installed the Intiminators in the front end and found out I had the works progessive spring in there....
Next will be shocks and then the Sputh engineering set up.

I'm in the same process right now. I started with the FXDX though so have a little but better suspension ans braking to start with. Since my signature pic, I have changed the seat to a Mustang vintage wide 2-up, changed the backrest pad to match the seat, purchased Saddlemen crus'n bags for there plain look(no buckles) added a small slipstreamer mini police windshield and am in the process of changing the bars and risers. I'm adding a stock looking black 1.7" riser and chrome Nightrod special bars. I may also change out the windshield to a Rifle roadster with either the 15" or 18" shield. It kind of looks like the T-sport one.

Are the bags on QD mounts or rigid? Could you post a shot straight on from the back?

Functional, well thought out motorcycles have no business in the Dyna section. They just aren't old school. And wheres the APE'S? Why didn't you just buy a Road King for Gods sakes????
Lol, funny.

The only additional thing that I plan to do is a two-into-one exhaust that I am custom fabricating.

Stuff on the windshield is purely functional. Radar led and speedo in line of sight is very helpful if you ride a lot, long distances and in the fashion this bike begs.

VERY nice leafman! I really wish Harley would reintroduce the Dyna Glide Sport because it could be much better than the previous one like I have. I can just imaging how nice it'd be with the frame improvements, 103 engine, stouter forks, and Brembo's! Short of them bringing the Sport back I would do just what you have done, lift it up and improve the suspension and brakes. In fact I'm saving your link for reference just in case. The only thing I would possibly do different is the bags. Your painted hard bags do look nice but I like the detachable Boss Bags too.
