Stage 1 + XiEDs?

Of course it depends on your credit rating, but go the longest you can to keep it in your budget. There is no prepayment penalty so you can make extra payments towards the principal if you want. If you're on a tight budget, then have them do the entire stage one with full exhaust and ask if they do the tuning or just the download. If they just do the download, see if they recomend anyone local to dyno it with the SEPTPRO if your worried about warranty work.

The cheaper I can make my payments, the better & like you said any extra amount I pay will go toward the principal of the loan.
It's looking like having the dealer do the stage 1 with exhaust & ac and financing that part also is the way to go, then I can always spend $100 on some XiEDs and add those on and see how it runs after that, or I may be happy with the stage 1.

The dealer will probably insist on doing the download or the SEPTPro tuning if they do the stage one. You'll have to talk to them and see how they are set up. If they happen to have a dyno and a good tuner, I would just have them do the stage one with the tuner and the dyno. One advantage is they could never give you any warrany hassles since they did everything.
Talk to the service manager at a few of your local dealers before you buy a bike. You will know right away if they are full of it or not just from the info you already have. If you hang around one weekend talk to some of the riders that pull up and see if they bought their bike there and ask how the sevice dept did them
