Upside down air shocks, any reason why not?

Default Upside down air shocks, any reason why not?

anybody know of a reason that i could not run air shocks upside down, and tuck the airlines under the frame?

As far as I know, twin tube shock can not be mounted upside down, monotube can and a cellular gas shock can. I don't know how you can find out what Harley OEM air shock is, I asked the same question a while ago. CLICK HERE

They do have oil in them along with the air so I wouldn't do it.

Also, there will possibly be some clearance issues with the fatter shock body...I know that there is not much clearance between my shock boot and my belt guard...used a washer to clear it.

Only issue I know of is the oil in them. Not saying don't do it, just saying that seems to be the obstacle to overcome.
