I own A 98 Softail and just bought a 12 FXDB. It is two different riding styles. I use the FXDB to commute and the Softail for long trips. But I still prefer riding the Dyna.FWIW

I am 74 and I love my Super Glide. Leave those baggers for the old farts that are not able to handle a Dyna. Ha!

Hi, I started on a sporty then had a 09 road king. Sold the road king and got a streetbob. I sometimes miss the RK on long trips for luggage, cruise control, etc, but that goes away quickly when I hit the hills and winding roads. Not saying you can not ride a RK like that, just saying I have more fun on the streetbob.

I bought a new '84 Bagger. FLHTC. First of the Evo engines. Had an enclosed, oil-bath, chain drive. Strange.

Didn't hate the bike but I didn't love it either. Too much work. Too big, too heavy, too awkward, too slow, too noisy (every freaking bag on that thing rattled) too..... Everything.

Of course, this was after my '77 Super Glide. That might explain it. Or not.

My new Super Glide? I hop on it and go. No BS, no prep, no hassles. I just go. Me and the Bike. And the sky and the sun, and the smells, and the wind.

I run the Bike -- It doesn't run me.

I keep coming back to this thread - I'm setting up a test ride on a 2012 Wide Glide next week - Really thinking about trading the 2010 RK.

And since I've read about all the "older" guys on Dyna's it renewed my interest - I thought at first it may have been a younger guy bike - but after staying tuned to this thread - I see that I was wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll keep you Dyna guys advised....

especially when the green six is lit ! oh, and I'm a tad younger.

You should try one of the new dynas with the 96 or 103 and the green 6

Yep. And the black ones are faster.
They are installing my 106 in my street bob right now.
Should I let them break it in on the dyno. I have read paper on both sides, yes and no.
What say you
