I like the anonymity of a FF.

 

I just bought a Non-DOT half..Heard rumors that the state Po Po here in WV are going to crack down on helmets.. Sure enough, they stopped at a favorite watering hole and checked all the guys for Registrations, Insurance, and DOT helmets..looks like I have some sticker and sewing work to do..

 

I usually wear a FF Arai Profile. When riding with my wife, I wear a FF Shoei RF-1100 wired with an intercom.

 

FYI, that muzzle only protects you against bugs, etc. No crash protection at all.

 

Scorpion, Bell, Kabuto, Shoei, Arai, etc. etc. etc. Tons of makers and styles.

 

If I ride local, I don't wear one. but I do have a HD Half helmet and I just picked up this one for long hauls:

A "DOT" half helmet most of the time. My wife recently bought me a Bell Star Carbon Race Day Full Face which to my surprise is pretty comfortable, light weight and looks great.

 

Since I started street riding @ 16 always FF. Last August when I bought the HD I got 1/2 W/$500 they "gave" me for buying new. I tried it W/ear plugs. Just don't feel comfortable all the wind on my face,around my glasses & noise. I recently bought SENA SMH5 for listening to iphone itunes, my wife called me 1st time out W/it she said it was clear couldn't hear bike or wind! Ram Mount works great too!
I have the Shoei RF1200 from my CBR days GREAT helmet worth every $$$$$ as far as I 'm concerned!

 

I rock a full face, got the bilt from cycle gear and it works ok, not the greatest helmet but it gets the job done and let's me listen to my music or talk to the gf when she is on the back.. There are way better helmets out there but this one works, only reason I rock one is the rocks and gravel on the roads here in AZ are killer. Rocks to the face suck, been through two headlights because of rocks and riding in a pack.. It's hot and uncomfortable but her after many years in the army wearing a kpot or the MICH helmets it doesn't bother me wearing one.
